The recent break in the weather has us all dreaming of spring... in fact, deceptive as it may be, it almost appears that spring has arrived. The snowdrops are peeking out along the wooded trails as we take our afternoon walks in the valley. Spring also brings tradition to our neck of the woods in the form of steeplechase racing with many events scheduled for the coming months. Heather, one of our many wonderful and multi-talented employees who also happens to have a passion for horses, shared with me the history and significance of steeplechasing in Maryland.

Born in Ireland in 1752 - when at the end of a day’s foxhunting, two riders settled the argument of whose horse was best by racing to a distant church steeple - the sport crossed the Atlantic Ocean to the United States early in the 19th century.

Steeplechasing has a long history in Maryland. The first recognized steeplechase race was run at Pimlico on October 18, 1873 over a course built in the infield. North of Pimlico in Baltimore County, steeplechase races rose from competition between various fox hunting clubs. Although hounds were brought to Maryland in 1650 by Robert Brooke of Hampshire, England, the first Maryland Hunt Cup was not run until 1894. The Maryland Hunt Cup was originally run as a rivalry race between the Green Spring and the Elkridge Harford Hunt Clubs in 1903, but later opened up to any recognized hunt club in the United States and Canada.

The Grand National, second in age only to the Hunt Cup, began as an outgrowth of a boy’s race which was instituted in 1898. In 1990 the race became an annual event open only to amateur riders. The Grand National has moved four times before finding its present home in Butler and occurs on Charles Fenwick IV’s property and adjacent farms.

Steeplechasing has not changed much since those early days. The races are still run on fine, warm spring days over similar courses with an audience of horse-lovers and race fans alike. Maryland steeplechasing provides a fun tailgating atmosphere in the picturesque countryside of Greenspring Valley and all the excitement of live racing.

Awful marriage proposals

The Gramercy girls have been giggling in the office today, recalling some of our favorite proposal stories. Yes, they're stories of our own engagements, those perfectly romantic moments when our future husbands swept us off our feet with the proposals we've always dreamed of... okay, maybe not so much. Our stories reminded me of The Bachelor, a chick flick from 1999 starring Chris O'Donnell as a self-proclaimed bachelor who manages to completely botch several attempts to propose to his gorgeous girlfriend played by Renee Zellweger.

Many a lovestruck couple have found their way to Gramercy Mansion for a romantic evening leading up to or following a perfect proposal. While we certainly can't tell you what to do to make that evening perfect for you, we did come up with a list of don'ts from our own personal experience to help all those planning to pop the question!

1. Don't pound a bottle of wine and a few cocktails to settle your nerves before dropping to your knee for the big moment. A drunken proposal is not nearly as romantic as a heartfelt sober profession of your undying love. Pop the champagne after she says yes.

2. Don't propose on a holiday. Not only do we get shorted a Valentine's Day, Christmas, or birthday gift, it's totally unoriginal. Surprise them on a day that's special and unique to your relationship... the anniversary of your first kiss or your first date maybe. Or just a day out of the blue as a complete surprise.

3. Don't drop to your knee in front of an audience, be it a stadium with 30,000 cheering spectators at an O's game or the entire extended family during Thanksgiving dinner. Can you say embarrassing?! This should be a private and intimate moment shared between just the two of you. Ask someone nearby to take a photo for posterity after the fact and share with your friends and family later.

New Year's Resolutions - from the cluttered desk of an Innkeeper

Well, here it comes. That big day when everyone resolves to start anew... to do away with countless bad habits, become healthier, fall in love, organize their lives and motivate themselves to succeed personally and professionally. Gyms and fitness centers cash in on everyone's desire to start the New Year off on the right foot, Match.com subscriptions hit a high this week as the singles search for soulmates, and brand new diamond rings sparkle on the fingers of those who have been lucky enough to find that special someone. Yes, January 1st is a day for new beginnings, a day for hope and a day when even the most pessimistic by nature can't help but have at least one optimistic thought for the year to come.

It's no secret that the past year has been challenging for many of us, especially those of us in the hospitality industry. Decreased spending on business and leisure travel and special events has left us scrambling for creative specials and packages to keep rooms full and guests happy. And perhaps that's not such a bad thing. Have to keep those wheels spinning and clear off the cobwebs every once in a while. We've learned to listen better to our guests, we've delved into the world of social networking, we've picked up new ideas from our fellow innkeepers, and most importantly, we've realized that being part of an unforgettable experience for our guests is the backbone of our business as a bed and breakfast. It doesn't hurt that we love that aspect of our job! So my first resolution for 2010 is to continue on the path we've begun to travel in 2009. Along with the rest of team of innkeepers and staff at Gramercy, we look forward to creating memorable experiences for every guest that walks through our door.

Foolproof Turkey Recipe

The daunting task of roasting a turkey does not have to be terrifying any longer. Guy Fieri, of Food Network's Guy's Big Bite, comes to the rescue with his foolproof turkey recipe that is sure to turn out wonderful and name you "Best Cook" at this Thanksgiving dinner. Happy turkey roasting!

Ingredients

1 (14 to 16-pound) fresh turkey
Brine, recipe follows
1 tablespoon dry rubbed sage
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon granulated onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon thyme
1 lemon, zested
1 tablespoon canola oil

Brine:

6 quarts water
8 cups ice cubes
1 cup kosher salt
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
7 fresh sage leaves
1 tablespoons black peppercorns

In a large stock pot, combine 3 quarts water, 1 cup kosher salt, brown sugar, molasses, sage leaves and peppercorns. Heat until salt dissolves, remove from heat. Add in 3 quarts cool water and 8 cups ice.

Directions

1) Remove the legs and wings from the turkey, or have your butcher do it. Reserve for stock.

2) Put turkey breast into a large pot or doubled up clean plastic bag. When brine mixture is completely cooled, pour over turkey and place in refrigerator for 12 hours.

3) Rinse under clear cool water for 5 minutes, drain well and pat dry with paper towels.

4) In a small bowl, combine dried spices and lemon zest. Rub turkey with canola oil, lightly sprinkle rub on turkey, any extra rub can be placed in cavity. Cover loosely, refrigerate for 4 hours.

5) Remove from refrigerator and let rest on counter for 15 minutes.

6) Preheat oven to 425 degrees F while turkey is resting.

7) In a large, deep baking pan, fitted with a rack, place turkey breast side down and roast for 35 minutes.
8) Carefully turn turkey over and reduce heat to 375 degrees F. Continue to roast turkey for 1 hour 45 minutes or until temperature at the deepest part of the breast reads 170 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer. **Make sure to check bird every 15 minutes after first hour has passed.**

9) Take out of oven, loosely tent with foil, let rest in pan for 10 minutes. Carve and serve immediately

Bumps in the night and inquiring minds...

It’s the time of year when the early evening sunsets make way for fireside tales in the dark with spooky endings (beginnings and middles, too, for that matter). Imaginations run wild and visions of ghosts and goblins dance in our heads. Old places seem to take on a life of their own. History as rich as Bill’s chocolate chip coffee cake surrounds us at Gramercy always. Blame it on the groans of the furnace or the creaks in the floor boards as chilly autumn days set in, but you can’t help but let your mind wander to times past and lost souls.
We’re constantly asked, “Is Gramercy haunted?” What a question. Guests are always intrigued by the history of the Mansion and want to hear ghost stories, especially during the weeks leading up to Halloween. I’ve heard tales of guests feeling vibes in certain areas of the house, or hearing things move in empty rooms during the still of the night. A few have even claimed visions of apparitions and unwelcoming spirits asking them to leave. I recall one eerily quiet Halloween night, sitting alone at the parlor desk with no guests or check-ins scheduled to arrive and hearing doors slam floors above. Perhaps a draft or our housecat Romeow? You better believe I didn’t go upstairs for the rest of the night and counted the minutes until Anne returned from trick-or-treating with the grandkids.
While our ghost stories may be few and far between and not nearly as spooky as some other Maryland haunts, I can share some little known tidbits with you. And if you think about those snippets of the past, they sometimes make you wonder… maybe it wasn’t the cat slamming doors afterall.
So fact or fiction? The original owner of Gramercy never lived there. Fact. The house was originally built by Alexander Cassatt, founder of the Pennsylvania Railroad, as a wedding present for his daughter, Eliza. Construction began in 1902 and was not completed until after Cassatt’s death in 1906. Eliza and her husband were living a few miles away in Greenspring Valley during construction of the home. They never lived in the big Tudor mansion on the hill, modeled after the family’s summer home in Bar Harbor, Maine and instead moved back to Pennsylvania.
In browsing the web, I came across this story published about Alexander Cassatt’s death in the New York Times. Cool article. The grandchildren referred to (Cassatt and Catherine Stewart) were in fact Eliza’s children. Apparently, granddad caught a case of the whooping cough from his grandkids during a summer vacation in Bar Harbor a few months before his death and never fully recovered. AJ Cassatt Stewart, Eliza’s son, passed away 6 years later in 1912. I’m not sure of the cause and whether the family was still living in this area at that time. But he was tragically young, nonetheless. I sense possibilities for a haunted soul here… more investigation to follow.

Be flexible with the date and time of your event. Plan a mid-week holiday luncheon or cocktail party rather than a Saturday evening affair with a full dinner and open bar. If you plan a party during the workday, most employees won’t bring a guest, saving you money by cutting down on your guest list.

Choose a venue that’s festively decorated (hint, hint… Gramercy’s decorations are locally renowned!) and save time and money on adding the fun and special touches. What's going on around Gramercy this weekend?

WOMEN HEALING WOMEN: HOW ONE REMARKABLE NUN IS OFFERING HOPE TO OPPRESSED WOMEN EVERYWHERE

Prescott, AZ, April 15, 2009 -- Some are already hailing her as the next Mother Teresa, but Sister Lucy Kurien has no time to ponder such accolades. For twelve years this remarkable nun from India has been devoting all her energies to MAHER, a unique project that has provided refuge to more than 1350 women, half of whom would likely otherwise have been murdered, committed suicide, or starved to death.

In "Women Healing Women", authors William Keepin, PhD (Divine Duality: The Power of Reconciliation Between Women and Men) and Cynthia Brix, M. Div. share the many inspiring stories of the women and children whose lives have been transformed by Maher. The authors have invited Sr. Lucy to travel across America in May upon the release of the book, which has already received high praise, notably from Sister Helen Prejean (Dead Man Walking):

"Like Sister Lucy Kurien, I witnessed a human being burned to death, which changed my mission in life forever. I watched Patrick electrocuted in the electric chair, and Lucy watched Renuka and her unborn child burn to death after being set afire by her husband. After the tragedy Lucy was driven to begin Maher, and I to abolish the death penalty. I met Lucy in Jaipur in 2008, and I was so impressed by her story. Now you get to read these incredible stories of lives transformed. But watch out. After reading these pages you may well never the same again".

According to a UN Population Fund report in 2005, more than two-thirds of married women in India aged between fifteen and forty-nine have been beaten, raped, or forced to provide sex. Maher presents an effective practical response to these appalling injustices and a model of hope for agencies and programs for oppressed women around the world. Sr. Kurien's vision has already inspired one Indian-American woman to start her own project (SOFKIN).

What makes Maher work so well? Unlike an institution, these vibrant communities of women healing women provide much more than food and shelter, they can nourish the soul with love, respect and dignity. In February, I was privileged to tour the Maher Center and meet Sister Lucy Kurien, a Carmelite nun, the children, and the women living at Maher as part of a week long course called Essence of India at the Girl Scout National Center, Sangam. I was absolutely stunned by the stories, the happiness, and the well behaved children who sang for us. Maher was making an unbelievable difference.

Maher has a vision where, through sheer love, understanding and caring, battered, exploited and destitute women and children from India, are given hope and the right to a better life irrespective of caste, color or religion. Maher's projects include the sheltering and rehabilitation of distressed women and children, organizing self-help groups, alcohol rehabilitation, family counseling, legal assistance, preschools and kindergartens, youth groups, and non-formal programs in villages including literacy, rights, vocational training, hobbies, handicrafts, the eradiation of superstition and increasing sanitation. Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend and took advantage of the gorgeous spring weather on Easter Sunday! I know I certainly did.

April is one of my favorite months to be at Gramercy. Although I am not a gardener myself (I'll admit my thumb is any color but green), I can certainly appreciate the spring blooms here on the property. After the bleak gray of January, February and most of March, sunny yellow daffodils cheer the soul, even on a brisk April morning. Anne, Gramercy's owner, has been spending more and more time in the gardens and has even enlisted her grandkids on spring break to help out. Everything gets greener each day, vibrant colors appearing little by little. If you stroll along some of the paths by the farm, you'll notice the prettiest little flowers poking their heads out of the most charming places - between wooden slats on a park bench, in the middle of the dense woodland brush - stretching for sunlight.

4 things to consider when choosing a wedding venue

A romantic proposal, a sparkling ring and everyone’s first question is “Have you set a date?” But before deciding the “when” of pending nuptials, savvy brides-to-be are smart to decide the “where.” Whether dreaming of a garden party, a harbor cruise or an elegant ballroom, the venue that captures your heart may just help determine your wedding date.

There are many things to think about when reserving a wedding venue, but following are four worthy of consideration.

Location, location, location. Do you prefer a downtown attraction or something more secluded in an outlying suburb? If your ceremony will take place at a church or synagogue, is the venue nearby? Is there parking on-site or nearby? Is your preferred venue close to home? You would be amazed at the many small details involved in wedding planning that may require a quick visit to refresh your memory.

Capacity. Do not reserve a venue that accommodates fewer guests than your guest list. The 10% rule may apply in some cases but don’t rely on it here. Not only is a venue’s advertised maximum capacity often indicative of fire codes, it is also the number of guests that will be most comfortably accommodated in that particular space. If you fall in love with a facility that is too small, consider cutting back your guest list or planning a cocktail reception with informal seating. If neither of those options works for you, look for something larger.

Décor. Does the décor suit both of your personalities? Many aspects of décor cannot be changed, but some can be hidden or disguised with the talent of a professional event or floral designer. Chances are, if there is a small decorative element that bothers you, the facility staff will do their best to accommodate your wishes. But if an overall theme, color palate or furnishings do not suit your taste, that venue may not be for you.

Price. Often at the top of the list and understandably so, venue pricing ranges dramatically depending on a variety of factors. Consider what is included with rental of the facility. Is catering provided and are a variety of options available? Are tables and chairs included? Linens and china? Is the site decorated or a blank canvas? Are discounts offered for mid-week rentals, afternoon time slots or the winter season? Don’t rule out your dream venue because you assume the rate will bust your budget. There may be options you haven’t considered or of which you were unaware. You’ll never know unless you ask.

When you find the perfect venue, it’s like finding your fiancé – you’ll just know. Keep an open mind, ask a lot of questions and, most importantly, choose a space that you love and that makes you happy.

Mmmm... Chocolate!

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting with Brenda from Parfections, an amazing local chocolatier, last week. And she brought us chocolate... my job is tough! After one taste, I must tell you, I was absolutely sold. I have never tasted such an enticing blend of flavors covered with, dipped and infused into chocolate. From the "Mediterranean Madness" truffle, a delicious blend of dark and milk chocolate combined with aged balsamic vinegar (I know, who would have thought!) that just caresses your throat with a tingle, to the "Wasabi Crunch" chocolate bark with roasted wasabi peas that add the perfect bite, each variety is completely unique and so satisfying.

Brenda told me they work with Boordy Vineyards and Clipper City Brewery to infuse flavors of different wine and beer into some of their chocolates. Bill's Old-fashioned Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup oil

1 cup canned pumpkin

2 eggs, beaten

1 pkg Crown Spice (available for purchase at Gramercy)

1 3/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

1 tsp rum extract (vanilla can be substituted)

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1/3 cup water

Directions

Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs, water, pumpkin, rum extract, and mix well. Add Crown Spice and mix well. Combine in another bowl flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix dry ingredient, a little at a time, into wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into 9x5 greased and floured bread pan. GREASE ONLY THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Recipe can be double for 2 pans. Recipe can be baked in mini-loaf pans for gifts. Baking time will vary 30-40 minutes. Bread is better if baked the day before serving - the spice flavor develops further. Bread will be moist and heavy in texture.

Gramercy Mansion announces opening of new bed & breakfast suite

Baltimore, Maryland - October 28, 2008 -

Gramercy Mansion, a historic bed and breakfast and conference center 10 miles north of Baltimore in Stevenson, Maryland, has expanded its accommodations once again with an exquisite new guest suite. Unveiled more than a week earlier than anticipated, the first overnight guest in the Cassatt Suite stayed on October 24, 2008.

The elegance of the past meets the luxury of modern amenities with the stunning "Cassatt Suite," named for the original owners of Gramercy Mansion. Alexander Cassatt, president of the Pennsylvania Railroad, arranged to have the mansion built as a wedding gift for his daughter Eliza. Alexander Cassatt was also brother to Mary Cassatt, a well-known Impressionist painter, and supported her artistic endeavors by purchasing many of her early paintings.

The name of the new suite was selected from a list of more than 150 submissions by Gramercy guests and newsletter subscribers during a recent contest. Two guests suggested the name that was finally chosen by the owners and staff and will be among the first to stay in the Cassatt Suite, receiving complimentary accommodations for their winning submissions.

A European Renaissance retreat in blue and gold, the Cassatt Suite, located on the private lower level of the building's addition (boasting the Camelot and Tudor Rooms, both completed in 2002), is Gramercy Mansion's most magnificent guest room yet, according to owner Anne Pomykala. The suite features damask fabric-draped walls, a four poster king bed with canopy, and a yellow and gold marble bath with heated floors, double whirlpool tub, separate two person shower, double vanity sinks and 24-carat gold swan fixtures. The sitting room with day bed and marble-mantled fireplace opens through French doors to a private terrace with decorative brick walls and a water feature celebrating "mind," "body" and "spirit." Lit with three unique chandeliers of alabaster, 24-carat gilded gold and hand-painted glass, each detail is now in place, welcoming guests for an indulgent overnight retreat.

In 2002, an addition boasting two new guest rooms (one located on the first floor and ADA compliant), an additional staircase and entrance to the Mansion, and handicap-accessible public restrooms was completed. The fall season officially kicks off, September 21^st. I can feel fall in the air, and in my opinion it is simply one of the most beautiful seasons. What do you think of when the temperatures start to cool down and you know fall is approaching? I think of the beautiful changing of the leaves. The fall foliage of red, yellow, and orange is so awe inspiring for everyone. That is especially true here in the heart of nature at Gramercy Mansion with all the woods and trails surrounding us to walk upon. Just the other day as I was driving down the driveway a small deer jumped out of the woods and pranced up and out of sight as quickly as it appeared. It is so beautiful here! Hopefully you can make it out to Gramercy Mansion to experience this hidden gem for yourself.

Gramercy is going to make it easy for you and your family to enjoy the changing season. As a fall special Gramercy Mansion is offering a Wild West Horseback Riding Adventure. Make your stay here unforgettable by traversing the trails of Patapsco State Park. From there you will tie your horse on the hitching posts at Woodstock Inn, and enjoy lunch on us! After lunch, ride your horse back to Misty Manor Riding Stable. The adventure will take about 3 ½ - 4 hours. No experience or equipment is necessary. Formerly Villa Julie College, our Greenspring Valley neighbor and my alma mater Stevenson University has been recognized in the 2009 "America's Best Colleges" report by U.S. News and World Report as a "Up-and-Coming School/School to Watch," the only listed in the Northern Region of Baccalaureate Colleges and one of just 70 schools across the nation chosen recognized. This comes after several years of change and growth under the direction of President Kevin Manning, including opening of the new Owings Mills Campus with on-campus student housing, a significant increase in enrollment, and the college's new status as a university.

We've had a long-standing relationship with Stevenson University and have welcomed many visiting parents, students, artists, professors and special guests through our doors over the years. I began my experience here as a Villa Julie intern and it is my absolute pleasure to work with a Stevenson University intern this semester. I may even let her blog with you soon!

The national recognition could not be more deserved and we could not be more proud to be your neighbors and friends. Way to go VJC... oops, SU!

Construction of our new room continues! It's looking more beautiful each day. We're just waiting for a few finishing touches and we're anticipating opening it for reservations in early November. Keep submitting name ideas to jennifer@gramercymansion.com. We've had almost 200 submissions and are in the process of narrowing them down to our top four favorites. Keep an eye out for our October newsletter... the top four will be listed for a final vote. Some of my personal favorites include Golden Grotto, Grand Valley Suite, Versailles, Imperial Suite, and Serenity Suite.

Special thanks to everyone who came out to support the Carroll Museums for the old-fashioned garden party at Gramercy last month! Anne Boone Simanski of the Baltimore Examiner was among the garden-goers. Dee Lockett was our lucky winner of an overnight stay at the 1840s Carrollton Inn, our sister B&B in downtown Baltimore. Nancy Smith, Mary Ann Burke and Lori Seeley were our fancy hat winners and George Kline took home the raffle. The Carroll Museums raised more than $1,100 from the event.

Babymoons anyone?

I just came across an article published in Innkeeping Quarterly, the Professional Association of Innkeepers quarterly publication, all about Babymoons, "one of the hottest trends in travel today." I was intrigued right away and read the article to learn how other inns were finding such success with babymoon packages.

About a year and a half ago one of our innkeepers discovered she was pregnant with her first child (Raina's beautiful baby girl Estella will be a year old in September!) and as all first-time mom's do, she jumped online with millions of questions and searches. Babymoon packages kept popping up. I assumed this was the new trend and thought, hey, how can we get on the bandwagon? Afterall, a bed & breakfast is a perfect place to relax and reconnect with your partner before a baby comes along. Quiet, soothing, and you can sleep in and have breakfast in bed. When is the next time that will happen after a baby enters the picture? I had started noticing more and more moms and dads-to-be staying with us towards the end of pregnancy and thought this could really take off. Gramercy is a great location for couples who live in the Baltimore area, especially if they're concerned with being close to their doctors during the last trimester. We're just minutes from St. Joseph's and GBMC.

So we put together a package including spa massages by a certified masseuse, experienced in prenatal massage, dinner for two at a nearby restaurant and a cute little gift package with baby products. We posted it online, printed fliers to post locally and at the front desk, listed our package on babymoonfinder.com, and even set up a booth at a local Babies R Us for "Mommy Fest." And we booked two packages over the course of six months. For being such a hot new trend, we certainly didn't get a great response. Maybe the name of our package wasn't catchy enough? Or maybe expectant parents are looking for something more? Maybe we weren't promoting our package in the right places or enough places?

So this is an appeal to the pregnant couples out there... are you interested in a babymoon package? And if you are, what activities/amenities appeal to you? Let me know.

Construction here at Gramercy never seems to end... there is always an exciting project in the works! This summer we've begun construction of a new bed & breakfast room in the basement of the addition, just below the Tudor Room. This amazing terrace suite with a private courtyard featuring a wall fountain, lavish bathroom with double whirlpool tub and separate shower, master bedroom with king bed and sitting area with fireplace and French doors opening to the courtyard, promises to be amazing. We need your help to name our new room...

Some suggestions so far have been the Renaissance Room, Serenity Suite, Calvert Room, the Terrace Suite, Koinonia Room, the Grotto or the Cove, and many more.

July Garden Report from Anne

For those of you who have visited Gramercy, I'm sure you remember the beautiful landscaped gardens surrounding the mansion and winding paths around the property. Many a bride has fallen in love with our lower garden, "Our Special Place," as the perfect place for her wedding ceremony. Owner Anne Pomykala oversees all of the gardening herself and on a warm summer day, you're bound to find her among her flowers. She's given me her latest garden report this morning.

Flowers in bloom during July include begonias, trumpet vine, marigolds, Asiatic lilies, day lilies, hydrangeas, phlox, pink yarrow, daisies, monnarda, cone flowers, hostas, cardinal flowers, anchusa, salvia and lubecca.

As we all know, the current economic climate has certainly effected Americans in many ways this summer. The hospitality industry is no exception. As the little guys in a country full of giant hotel chains, bed & breakfasts are constantly working to attract visitors to properties that may be off the beaten path or, as of yet, unknown to potential guests. Innkeepers do this with little to no advertising dollars and in the midst of a load of laundry, flipping pancakes, grabbing a ringing phone and racing to answer the doorbell. How can we stand out from the crowd? What makes us special? What can we offer our guests that someone else cannot?

We offer our guests ourselves. Each and every one of them. That's what makes every single B&B experience different and unique. I'm interested to hear about your experiences.
